Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of complex printing presses: digital lithographic, electrophotographic, inkjet or similarly complex, high-tech electromechanical and automated equipment. Direct or indirect experience, or at least a demonstrated desire to research and understand these technologies.
  • Trouble-shooting aptitude, including maintenance and/or repair of electrophotographic high-speed printing devices and automated motion control systems with thermal monitoring, vision sensors and controls. Includes troubleshooting methods for automation, pneumatic, air and water heating / cooling devices.
  • Solid mechanical and basic electrical skills, including electromechanical assembly, sensor and process control feedback loops and wiring, motors, and demonstrable experience of equipment building/assembly with superior workmanship of mechanical assembly, connectors, wiring and cabling (strain relief and routing harnesses).

The Controller will be responsible for the accurate and timely financial management of the organization. Will handle all aspects of the accounting operations, production of periodic financial reports and maintenance of accounting records. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions. Provide comprehensive financial updates to CEO by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points. Responsibilities

 

  • Design sensing, control, power distribution and communication solutions
  • Define requirements and specifications for controls and electrical functions and ensure they meet business goals and comply with applicable regulations
  • Design interconnection of components and assemblies
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation
  • Specify, select and source components
  • Perform assembly and testing
  • Help establish Electrical Engineering standards and practices
  • Help select, implement, and support Electrical Engineering tools and infrastructure
  • Select, contract, and manage engineering services providers and other technical suppliers

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent academic grounding
  • Authorized to work in the United States and without travel restrictions.
  • Five years’ experience developing products incorporating precision motion and process control, with substantial innovation accomplishments.
  • Advanced skills in hardware selection and development for motion and process control, HMI, and device communication. Experience with PLC, drives, motors, sensors, amplifiers and controllers.
  • Experience designing for machine safety and electrical safety.
  • Experience with CAD tools, documentation creation, and documentation control.
  • Some experience in an Electrical Engineering role in an ISO-certified manufacturing organization, with exposure to business process improvement
  • Familiarity with UL, CSA, CE, NEC and NFPA requirements
  • Broad familiarity with sensor technologies, and some participation in research and selection or development of specialized sensor technology
  • Familiarity with typical electrical test and data acquisition equipment and software
  • Some participation in application of statistical methods and tools for manufacturing or testing
  • Some participation in application of structured problem-solving frameworks such as Six Sigma or 8D
